This policy explains what Boca Raton Garage Door Bros collects when you use bocaratongaragedoorbros.com, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We are a garage door repair company serving Boca Raton and south Palm Beach County. We are not in the business of selling personal information and we do not do so.

Who we are

What we collect

  • Information you give us. When you submit the estimate form or call us, we collect your name, phone number, email address if you provide one, the city where the work is needed, the service you are asking about, and anything you write in the message field.
  • Which page you came from. Your form submission also tells us which page of our site you sent it from, and the page that referred you to us.
  • Information collected automatically. Our web host records standard server information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you viewed and the time of your visit. This is used for security and to keep the site working.
  • What we do not collect. We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, financial account numbers, or payment card details through this website. Payment for completed work is handled in person or by invoice, never through this site.

Why we use it

  • To respond to your request, quote a price, and schedule the work.
  • To contact you about the job, including follow up if we cannot reach you the first time.
  • To keep records of work performed and warranty coverage.
  • To detect and prevent spam and abuse of the form.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent it.

Calls, texts and your consent

The estimate form carries two separate consent boxes and neither one is ticked for you. One covers text messages about the job you are asking us about. The other covers offers and seasonal maintenance reminders. You can tick one, both, or neither, and you can still submit the form and get service with neither ticked.

When you tick a box, you agree that we may contact you by phone call, text message or email at the number and address you gave us, including by automated dialing or texting systems, for the purpose described beside that box. Consent is not a condition of purchase and is not a condition of service. You can call us instead at any time. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You must be 18 or older to consent to texts.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. In plain terms: we do not share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt in data and consent are never sold, rented or provided to anyone for their own marketing. The only parties that ever see the number are the vendors described below that help us actually deliver a message or a call to you, and they may use it for nothing else.

You can withdraw consent at any time by any reasonable method. Replying STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE or OPT OUT to a text works, in any combination of upper and lower case, and so does any other wording that makes clear you want the messages to stop. So does telling us on the phone, emailing us, or asking any technician. We will stop calls and texts within ten business days of your request, and in practice the same day. We record every request and the date we received it, and we keep an internal do not call list. Ask us for a copy of our do not call policy at any time and we will send it.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with parties that help us run the business, and only as much as they need:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website and delivers your form submission to our inbox.
  • The messaging and telephone providers that actually carry a call or a text to you. If you ticked a text message box, your mobile number passes through the messaging platform we use to send the message and through your own mobile carrier, because there is no way to deliver a text without it. They handle the number only to deliver our message to you. They are not permitted to use it for their own marketing, to sell it, or to add it to any list of their own, and we do not give them permission to do so.
  • Our technicians and dispatchers, who need the service address you give us over the phone, and your phone number, to perform the work.
  • Professional advisers, insurers, or authorities where the law requires it.

That list is complete. No data broker, lead buyer, affiliate or advertising network receives your information, and we do not pass it to another contractor.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising.

Cookies and tracking technologies

What these are. A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store. Related technologies include web beacons, tracking pixels, local storage, session storage, session replay and device fingerprinting. They are normally used to recognise a returning visitor, to measure behaviour, or to follow someone between websites for advertising.

What this site does. This site sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no tracking cookies. In fact it sets no cookies at all, which you can check for yourself in your browser. There is no advertising pixel, no session replay tool, no chat widget and no social media embed on any page. We do not use local storage or session storage to profile you. We do not fingerprint your device. We do not follow you across other websites, we do not buy or receive tracking data about you from anyone else, and we run no advertising network code of any kind.

The one measurement script, named plainly. Every page loads Cloudflare Web Analytics, a script served from static.cloudflareinsights.com by the company that hosts this site. It is the only script on this site that comes from anywhere other than this domain. It reports page views and page speed: the address of the page, the page you arrived from, your browser and device type, your approximate country, and how quickly the page loaded. It is cookieless. It stores nothing on your device, it does not use local storage or session storage, it does not fingerprint your device, and it does not follow you to other websites. We use it only to see which pages people read and whether the site is fast. If you would rather not load it, a content blocker or a browser setting that blocks third party scripts will stop it, and every page here works normally without it.

What happens anyway, because it cannot be avoided. Our web host records standard server log information for every request, as described under "What we collect" above: your IP address, your browser type, which pages you viewed and the time you viewed them. That exists so the site stays up and so we can see an attack. It is not used to build a profile of you, it is not used for advertising, and it is not combined with your form submission to track you.

How to control this yourself. Because we set no tracking cookies there is nothing here for you to opt out of, and you will not see a cookie banner, because showing one would imply we set cookies that we do not set. You can still block or delete cookies for any website from your browser settings, under Privacy in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, and blocking them will not stop this site working. Most browsers can also send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. We honour both by default, in the sense that nothing here builds a profile of you, sells anything about you, or follows you to another website, whichever signal your browser sends.

If this ever changes. If we add analytics, advertising, a chat widget or any third party script, we will update this section and the date at the top of this page before it goes live, and we will add a consent mechanism first where one is required.

How long we keep it

If we complete work for you, we keep the job record for at least 3 years so we can honor the workmanship warranty in our Terms. After that we keep it only as long as our tax and insurance records require, and then we delete it. If you contact us and we do not do work for you, we delete your lead information once we no longer need it to follow up. We keep a record that you consented to be contacted, and the wording you agreed to, for 4 years, because that is the period in which a claim about a call or a text can be brought. You may ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, except for the records we must keep for those periods.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We give you these rights because we think you should have them. To make a request, email info@bocaratongaragedoorbros.com or call (954) 852-3979 and ask for the owner. So that we do not hand your information to someone else, we will ask you to confirm the phone number you gave us and one detail from your request, such as the city or the service. If we cannot match your request to a record, we will tell you and take no further action. We will respond within 30 days. If we turn a request down we will tell you why. We will not treat you differently for exercising a right.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging home repairs. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Requests that arrive over plain HTTP are redirected to the encrypted version before any form can be submitted, so form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we limit who can see your information to the people who need it to do the work.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here.
